Instead of offering this free download only to customers in support as of the release date (January 15, 2006), Ocean Systems is extending this offer to include customers who were in support for 3 months prior to the release date, making October 15, 2005 the cut off date.
Free Download And Activation For Customers Currently In Support
1. If you purchased a dTective system on or after October 15, 2004, you qualify.
Your system came with 1 year of support and we back dated this offer 3 months.
2. Those with Ocean Systems dTective support as of October 15, 2005.
If you are not sure if you were in support as of this date, that's OK, we will verify your support date when you submit your serial number to our technical support staff.
What is dVeloper 4D?
dVeloper 4D allows you to apply frame averaging to multiple tracks of video simultaneously, where as the original dVeloper was designed to work on a single track.
Example: Digitize the same piece of media multiple times. Drop each clip to your timeline. Apply dVeloper 4D to the top most video track, then render. dVeloper 4D will frame average all the video tracks at once.

Welcome back. If your Avid platform is mentioned on the supported platforms list, then please proceed by locating your Avid dongle number and emailing it to Ocean Systems support. We will then email you your dVeloper 4D unlock code. Please allow up to 5 business days for processing.
1. Locating your Avid dongle number. This dongle may be located on the front or back of your system. The number we need from it most likely starts with an EF55. If you are having trouble finding your Avid dongle number, please refer to this link: http://www.oceansystems.com/support/find_dongle.htm
2. Send your dongle number to Ocean Systems Support
Once you send us your dongle number, you will be provided with the "download and installation" instructions.
SUPPORTED Avid Platforms
dVeloper 4D is qualified and tested to work on the following platforms:
- Avid Xpress Pro 4.3.5 (WINXP) and later
- Avid Media Composer 1.3.5 (WINXP) and later
Support for earlier versions of these platforms is not guaranteed.

UNSUPPORTED Avid Platforms
- Avid Xpress Meridien Systems (WINNT/2000): PLS/STD, DLX/2D, ELT/3D
- Avid Xpress DV systems.
Since Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Media Composer Adrenaline only run in Windows XP, if you are running Window 2000 or Window NT, you are operating an unsupported platform.
If you are currently using one of these unsupported Avid platforms and are unable to utilize this new tool, we apologize for the inconvenience. The newer Avid Xpress Pro and Media Composer platforms have been designed with an upgraded, more powerful architecture that allows us to implement dVeloper 4D.
