DVR dCoder is a stand alone tool
which runs on Avid systems. It is designed to aid in the conversion
of digital surveillance files from a proprietary format into
a format understood by the dTective system. The method for
using DVR dCoder is to play the digital surveillance file and
allow DVR dCoder to “digitize” the video. This
digitized footage is a duplicate of the original file in an
uncompressed digital format. Once digitized, the footage can
imported into the dTective system for further examination,
and can be output in a variety of different formats, including
analog.
