Any video image can be printed onto
a wanted poster or instantly e-mailed to a local television
station for CrimeStoppers. Avid exports to over two dozen industry-standard
file formats. The system can also create an entire sequence
of uncompressed still images containing every image of a suspect
caught on tape. Avid also encodes to all major digital video
formats including AVI, QuickTime, and MPEG. Audio evidence
can be output to industry-standard WAV or AIFF formats and,
of course, you can always output back to videotape with either
the composite, component, S-Video or optional serial digital
connection.
