Easily Mask
or Highlight Specific Areas of Video Evidence
SpotLight allows
an analyst to highlight an area of video or
just as easily obscure an area to hide sensitive
information. The analyst selects an area with
a user-defined shape. The size and position
of this shape can change over time to track
moving objects. By darkening the outside area,
SpotLight focuses attention on critical portions
of the evidence. By applying a mosaic or blur,
SpotLight hides sensitive information like
faces and license plates.
SpotLight provides
complete control over border color, shape and
size. Effects such as blur, mosaic and scatter
can be applied selectively to both the inside
and outside of the target area.

be when attempting to draw focus to a specific
area. The outside setting is a "scatter" effect,
one of four different effect you can select
for the outside (or inside) of your SpotLight
area.
