How do I save Site Settings?
Open any project and go to the Settings view in your project window.
Now go to File> Open Setting File
You need to open the main settings file that can be found under c:\Program Files\Avid\Avid Xpress\Settings.
The name of the file is Site_Settings.avs.
Once you open it you will see a dialog box called Site Settings.
Now go to your project window and open a setting you wish to save. Let’s do this for Media Creation. Double-click on the Media Creations category in the project window. That will open a dialog box like below.
Uncheck the Filter Based on Resolution selection so that it is now gray. Click on Ok. Now drag that setting from your project window to your Site Settings dialog box. You will see it added to the list.
Once you have confirmed that you added it to the Site Settings you can save it by going to File>Save Setting File.
Now close the Site Settings box and close out your project. Any new project you open up will have this setting saved for you on all new projects. You can do this with any of the settings to create a basic template project that opens up with basic settings everytime you create a new project.
