In DVR dCoder I get a file that is all black when I try to save it in the Post Processing box

When you are in the Post Processing dialog box and attempting to save a file out, the output file is all black when you attempt to import it into your Avid system. This can happen when your temporary file in DVR dCoder is corrupted.

This can be fixed by performing the following steps:

  1. If you aren't sure where the temporary file is located, go to the Edit --> Preferences dialog box and look at the RAW field.
  2. Using Windows Explorer can you open that file in up in Windows Media player? If the file won’t play delete the file.
  3. Reopen dCoder, create a new temp file in the Edit --> Preferences dialog.
  4. Resample the footage.

Verify that is imports properly into Avid
